GOVERNMENT AND NON- GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS INCLUDING INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIP AND CONSESSION
Gobinda Prasad Mahavidyalaya offers a variety of scholarships to students each academic year, sourced from government initiatives, non-governmental organizations, and the college’s own StudentsAid Fund. Government scholarships adhere to the criteria established by the respective governmental bodies, while non-government scholarships follow the guidelines set by the sponsoring organizations. Additionally, since the 2020-2021 academic year, the college has been providing a one-time scholarship from its StudentsAid Fund to support financially disadvantaged yet meritorious students. Detailed information regarding the various scholarships provided by the government, non-government entities, and the college is outlined below:
A.GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS:
1. Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum Means Scholarship-

This scholarship is provided by the Government of West Bengal for needy and meritorious students. Most of the students of the institution get this scholarship. Each students get rupees 12,000/ – annually for B.A. course and 18,000/- annually for B.Sc. course. The main criteria for awarding of this scholarship are
i. It was 80% or above marks in the last final examination in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic year but from academic year 2020-2021 onwards to till, it is reducing up to 60% or above in the last final examination (Higher Secondary, Vocational or equivalent).
ii. Annual family income of the beneficiaries should be maximum 2,50,000/- rupees or less.
2. National Scholarship 2.0-

Provided by the Government of India for the needy and meritorious students. The criteria for awarding of this scholarship are-
i. 75% marks in the last final examination (Higher Secondary, Vocational or equivalent).
ii. Annual family income of the beneficiaries should be maximum 2,50,000/- rupees or less.
3. Oasis post-matric scholarship –

provided by the backward class welfare department of the government of West Bengal. Only OBC, SC, and ST candidates get this scholarship. The criteria of this scholarship in the following-

ii. Annual family income of the beneficiaries should be maximum 2,50,000 /- rupees or less.
4. Minorities post-matric scholarship –

5. Kanya Shree 1 & 2 Scholarship-

Kanya Shree 1 scholarship for below 18 years female students. They get 1000/- rupees annually up to 18 years.
Kanya Shree 2 scholarship for 18 years or above female students. They get 25,000/- rupees one time.
B. NON-GOVERNMENT AND INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS:

College students who have secured more than 60% marks in the final examination can fill this scholarship form. After that, the foundation selects who is eligible for this scholarship.

For the needy and meritorious students of thecollege, the college authority has taken an initiative to help them financially for their studies. For this, the college teaching staffs pay some amount of money in every month from their salary and some financial help is given to the needy students. This great initiative was started form the academic year 2021-2022. The aim was that not a single student of the college should not stop studies due to lack of money.
C. CONSESSION
1.Half free/ Full freeof college tuition fees-

The matter of half free/ full free during college admission is a helpful initiative given by the college authority for economically backward but intelligent and meritorious students of the college to continue their studies uninterruptedly. The Students Welfare Committee of the college decides which students are eligible for getting this help. In this case, the committee will consider the parents’ income certificate from each student for selecting the student.
