    History Department

  • The department started as a General course in 1985. Honours course was initiated in 1994.
  • The department has a Seminar Library for meeting the demands of the students.
  • The department conducts State, National and International level seminars throughout the academic session.
  • The department encourages students for participating in different academic programmes, cultural activities, extension activities and excursion.
  • The students after passing out can study Post-Graduation or can appear for competitive exams like NET, SET, WBCS, School Service Commission and College Service Commission.
