  • The department started as a General course in 2007. Honours course was initiated in 2010.
  • The department provides access to Seminar Library and computer facilities.
  • The department conducts State and National level seminars throughout the academic session.
  • The department encourages students for participating in different academic programmes, cultural activities, extension activities and excursion.
  • The students after passing out can study Post-Graduation, or can appear for competitive exams like NET, SET, WBCS, School Service Commission and College Service Commission.
